EL PODER DE LAS PALABRAS DE FE

"Vivo yo, dice Jehová, que según habéis hablado a mis oídos, así haré yo con vosotros" (Números 14:28). Josué y Caleb fueron los únicos de los diez espías que hablaron de una manera diferente. Ellos decidieron creerle a Dios y trataron de mover al pueblo a que actuara en fe y tomara posesión de la tierra. Dios se agradó tanto de ellos que le dijo a Moisés: "Pero a mi siervo Caleb, por cuanto hubo en él otro espíritu, y decidió ir en pos de mí, yo le meteré en la tierra donde entró, y su descendencia la tendrá en posesión" (Números 14:24).

Los efectos devastadores de las palabras de queja
Por otro lado, la mayor parte del pueblo se había quejado contra Dios diciendo: "¡Ojalá muriéramos en la tierra de Egipto; o en este desierto ojalá muriéramos! ¿Y por qué nos trae Jehová a esta tierra para caer a espada, y que nuestras mujeres y nuestros niños sean por presa? ¿No nos sería mejor volvernos a Egipto?" (Números 14:2-3). La respuesta de Dios al pueblo fue: Cada palabra que han expresado, se ha convertido en un decreto. Y eso es lo que exactamente haré, morirán en el desierto. Cuarenta días reconocieron la tierra, cuarenta años andarán en el desierto. Vuestros hijos llevarán vuestras rebeldías hasta que seáis consumidos en el desierto.

"Aquellos varones que habían hablado mal de la tierra, murieron de plaga delante de Jehová. Pero Josué, hijo de Nun, y Caleb, hijo de Jefone, quedaron con vida de entre aquellos hombres que habían ido a reconocer la tierra" (Números 14:37, 38).
Tenga un corazón agradecido Josué y Caleb, al confesar ante el pueblo las promesas de Dios, estaban honrándole ante toda la congregación. Y pasados cuarenta años, fueron los líderes que introdujeron al pueblo de Israel en la tierra prometida.

Las palabras del sabio y las palabras de necio
Salomón dijo: "El hombre será saciado de bien del fruto de su boca; y le será pagado según la obra de sus manos" (Proverbios 12:14).
"Las palabras de la boca del sabio son llenas de gracia, mas los labios del necio causan su propia ruina" (Eclesiastés 10:12).
"La boca del necio es quebrantamiento para sí, y sus labios son lazos para su alma" (Proverbios 18:7).

Una mente de vencedor debe significar en la vida de cualquier creyente el inicio de una vida de éxito, de conquistar y poseer las promesas que nuestro Dios nos ha dado en las diferentes áreas de la vida: en nuestra relación con Dios, con nuestra familia, ministerio, finanzas, trabajo y salud.

THE POWER IN WORDS OF FAITH

"As I live, says the Lord, just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you" (Numbers 14:28). Joshua and Caleb were the only two spies who disagreed with the other ten. They decided to believe God, and they tried to get the people to move in faith and take possession of the land. God was so pleased with them that He told Moses, "But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it" (Numbers 14:24).

The devastating effects of complaining
On the other hand, the majority of the people had complained against God, saying, "If only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?" (Numbers 14:2-3). God's answer to the people was, essentially, "Each word you have expressed, has become a creed. And that is exactly what I'll do; you will die in the desert. Your children shall bear the brunt of your rebellion until you are consumed in the desert" (Numbers 14:28). "Those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by plague before the Lord. But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land" (Numbers 14:37-38).

Have a Grateful Heart
Thanksgiving is the doorway to God's presence. No one can enjoy God's presence until thanksgiving rests in his or her heart. By confessing God's promises before the people, Joshua and Caleb were honoring Him before the whole congregation. Consequently, after forty years, they were the leaders who brought the people of Israel into the Promised Land.

Words of the Wise and of the Foolish
Solomon said, "A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to him" (Proverbs 12:14).
"The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool shall swallow him up" (Ecclesiastes 10:12).
"A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul" (Proverbs 18:7).

Having the mind of a conqueror should lead to a life of success, victory and the possession of the promises that our God has given us in the different areas of our lives. This includes our relationship with God, our relationships with our families and everyone around us, our ministries, our finances, our jobs and our health.
